[It isn't as if Terra has anything on her calender so she isn't likely to forget the date but she wants to make sure. Whil on the phone she'll walk over to her fridge and scribble the date on a piece of paper to hang in plan view.
He can probably hear the slight rustle as she moves and speaks.]
Yes.
[Her pen finishes it's script and she pauses.]
Where should we meet?
[She doesn't know much about holiday parties so she might use the time to learn about it.]
[It's perhaps a good thing that Terra doesn't even know what a date is, nor has she ever been on one. All she is used to is Edgar's flirtations and those just left her feeling tired.]
When should I be ready by?
[Not that Terra will do very much but she doesn't want dirt on her clothes before leaving the house.]
[Terra nods and then realizes that it's an audio conversation. Luckily he doesn't see it nor does he see the slight flush on her cheeks from forgetting that.]
I'll be ready then.
[Her tone is even and she begins to wonder. Is she excited? She doesn't feel any different but she's never been to a party before. She isn't sure what she's suppose to wear so she'll find something clean. Should she say thank you? She doesn't know and so there is silence on the other line unless Ronan chooses to break it.]
Ah [It's a soft sound as if she's about to say more. Terra only owns dresses because it's what she's worn through most of her life. At least it's what has been given to her.]
[ The next time Terra checks her mail she'll find an envelope with her name on it but otherwise unmarked.
Inside there's a pencil sketch of a single flower, everything colored and shaded in hues of grey except the flower petals themselves, which were colored in a vibrant purple.
At the bottom is written a simple thank you followed by the letter J in a fancy cursive font. ]
[The green house isn't very large, there is only one path that goes down the center and in the back, near the rose plant she'd created, Terra sits. Thin fingers lightly reach out to the tender plant, her blue eyes watching as the petals glimmer and shine.
She turns her head as the green house opens and offers Athrun a weak smile.]
How are you?
[She isn't sure what to say about things and she's found simple pleasantries a nice start.]
[Athrun stops when he sees Terra. He takes a couple of steps toward her, then stops again. He purses his lips and frowns, and tears begin to fill the corners of his eyes.
The next thing that Terra knows, Athrun has flung himself at her, wrapping his arms around her upper torso. He begins to sob into her shoulder.]
[Terra isn't used to physical contact and the sudden hugs makes her pause. She feels her shoulders slowly relax and her arms wrap around Athrun. She doesn't understand why he's crying.]
Are you okay?
[Her voice shakes slightly, unsure what to do or say.]
